WE MOVED (AGAIN) + CHECKLIST

So...we moved again for the fifth time in five years. Although it has it's stressful moments, I love the excitement of moving into a new place and having a fresh start. It's been especially nice to have a change of scenery since we've been a little stir crazy. And I've always wanted to live in San Francisco as a family before we settle into a permanent space. There's plenty to do since we are close to the beach and Golden Gate Park but I'll admit the one thing I do miss is having a sunny deck to work from. I'll be sharing more photos soon but here's one I took while sitting on the couch writing this (not staged, I promise).

As far as the moving process, I'd say it went pretty well. Given the extra time we had, we packed and purged things we weren't using a few weeks before the move date. We didn't hire movers or rent a moving truck. We literally made several trips in a van and SUV and had a couple of family members help us. We also unpacked and setup within a few days (from what I hear that's pretty impressive). Not having a ton of stuff helped but somehow it still felt like there was plenty to unpack and organize. I've summarized my process with a moving checklist that can be found on our new resources page. Check it out and let me know if it's helpful or if there's something you'd add.
